Academy Director

Lawrence Kimuhu

Lawrence Kimuhu, known to everyone as Coach Kim, is the Academy Director of Pride Academy Westlands. A CAF C licensed coach, he led the Kahawa Pride FC men's team for five seasons, including the run that starred in Road to the Kenyan Premier League. He first picked up a whistle at 14 and has spent more than a decade developing players at every level, from grassroots and school programmes to the senior side.

His own playing journey began at nine with the Kahawa Sportive Soccer Academy, where he captained his age groups all the way to the senior team before going on to play for Umeme FC. Since then he has coached at PCEA Kamiti Corner, Muthangari International School and Millennium Global International School, completed the MYSA advanced coaching course and, most recently, a Level 1 Talent Identification course in 2026. At Pride Academy Westlands he brings that full pathway, from first touch to first team, to every age group.
